Shop How to Measure Your Size for Dresses and Sets
Finding the right fit starts with a few simple measurements. Use this guide before choosing a dress, two-piece set, blazer, cardigan, or long-sleeve layer.
Wear light layers or fitted clothing, stand naturally, and keep the tape level. Record each number in inches so you can compare it with the size guide on each product page.
1. Get ready to measure
Get a flexible tape measure, mirror, and a place to record numbers. Stand with your feet flat, relax your shoulders, and avoid pulling the tape tight.
2. Measure bust
Measure bust at the fullest point. Wrap the tape around your back and across the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level and comfortably snug.
3. Measure natural waist
Measure natural waist. Find the narrowest part of your torso, usually above the belly button, then wrap the tape around without holding your breath.
4. Measure hips
Measure hips at the fullest point. Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
5. Measure shoulder width
Measure shoulder width for structured tops and blazers. Place the tape from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other across your back.
6. Measure sleeve length
Measure sleeve length for long-sleeve layers. Start at the top of your shoulder and follow your arm down to the wrist or the sleeve length you prefer.
7. Measure dress length
Measure dress length from shoulder to preferred hem. Start at the top of your shoulder and measure down to where you want the dress to hit.
8. Compare with the product size guide
Compare with each product size guide and choose the larger size if between sizes. If one measurement falls into a different size, prioritize the area that needs the most comfort for the item you are buying.
